Hamburg, [01/19/2026] – At the end of last year, Port International Fruit GmbH strengthened its management structure and, by doing so, repositioned the company for the future. New addition Phillip Buschmann will take on the role of managing director alongside Karlsson Port, and together, they will lead the company into the next phase of its corporate development.
“With Phillip Buschmann, we are gaining a leader who combines a large international network and operational expertise with strategic foresight. Together, we will further expand our position in the fruit trade and strengthen our relationships with producers and customers for a long time to come,” explains Karlsson Port, Managing Director of Port International Fruit GmbH.

More than 10 years of experience with strong overseas expertise
Phillip Buschmann brings more than ten years of experience in the international fruit industry to the position. Since 2012, he has worked in various roles, gaining in-depth expertise both on the customer side and in the origin. This holistic perspective, combined with comprehensive know-how, will enable him to support Port International Fruit effectively and purposefully in both areas. “Port International Fruit GmbH has a strong foundation and clear values. I look forward to creating synergies with the existing team contributing my own perspective, strengthening existing or establishing new partnerships, and driving forward our projects around the world,” says Phillip Buschmann.

Market-oriented positioning: Stability, quality, partnership
With this new management structure, the company is clearly positioning itself for the future, with a focus on growth, risk diversification, and customer proximity. Phillip Buschmann and Karlsson Port will place particular emphasis on transparency and sustainability across the entire supply chain, as well as on the creation of new partnerships.
